At One Tech Nepal, we believe that every child deserves equal access to education, no matter their circumstances. In our continued efforts to support and empower young minds, we are proud to announce our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for 2025, which focused on providing much-needed resources to the children of Fulapata School, located in the far west of Nepal.

A Challenging Journey to Fulapata

Fulapata School is situated high in the mountains of the far west, far from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The region is incredibly isolated, requiring an arduous 48-hour bus ride, followed by a 5-hour walk, to reach the school. The school is nestled in a remote area where winters are harsh, and the region experiences heavy snowfall. These difficult travel conditions are just one of the many challenges faced by the children and teachers in this region.

Keeping the Children Warm

In our mission to make education more accessible, we have focused on alleviating some of the basic challenges these children face. This year, we were able to provide 176 children with warm tracksuits, cozy caps, and educational resources. The cold winters of the region have long posed a barrier to the children’s ability to focus and learn, but with the help of these warm clothes, the children are now able to study in comfort, no longer shivering in the cold classrooms.

This initiative is part of our broader commitment to enhancing the learning environment for these children, ensuring that they are not only physically protected from the cold but also mentally prepared to absorb knowledge and engage with their studies.

Continuing Our Support: Last Year’s Contributions

Our support for Fulapata School goes beyond just this year. Last year, we provided school uniforms, laptops, and books from our library to further enhance the children’s educational experience. With the addition of laptops and learning resources, students now have access to digital tools that were previously out of reach. These resources will help broaden their educational horizon, enabling them to learn beyond the confines of textbooks and traditional methods.

Education is the Key to Empowerment

At One Tech Nepal, we believe that access to education and educational resources is not a privilege but a fundamental right for every child. We are committed to bridging the gap for underprivileged children and ensuring that they have the tools and opportunities to thrive. Our CSR initiatives aim to create a more level playing field, allowing children in remote and underserved areas to grow into capable individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.

As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to expanding our CSR efforts and providing further support to Fulapata School and other schools in need. Together, we can ensure that every child has the chance to succeed and make a positive impact on the world.
